The Rev. Dr. Russell R. Rechenbach, II

Rusty Rechenbach received a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Drama from Transylvania University, a Masters of Divinity in Church History from Lexington Theological Seminary, and a Doctorate of Ministry in Pastoral Counseling at Lexington Theological Seminary.  Rusty Studied Theology at Mansfield College of Oxford 1985.

 

 

He has served in the Richmond community as President of the following:  Hospice of the Kentucky River, Richmond Area Theatre, and the Madison County chapter of the American Cancer Society. He has served on the Board of Madison County Habitat for Humanity since its beginning. He received the Chamber of Commerce Community Service Award in 1994.He represents The Rose Barn Theatre on the Battle of Richmond Association Board

 

Rusty has served as pastor of White Oak Pond Church Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) since May of 1986.

Rusty wrote the historical drama Sabbath of the Soul presented at the Bicentennial celebration of the White Oak Pond Church in 1990, The Botanic Garden on the life of Constantine Rafinesque at Transylvania University, a marriage murder mystery At the Kissing Gate produced at the Richmond Area Arts Center Spring of 2000, and a musical Whisper in the Hearth presented at the Arts Center for Habitat for Humanity Madison County April 2001--music and songs by Rick Loader and Rusty Rechenbach.  He is the author of "Pioneer Christmas in Kentucky" that has been performed at Fort Boonesborough and now at Pond Church, the original site of the Milford Meeting House.

Rusty lives at 3007 Redhouse Road with a rooster, a dog, and five goats.
